Each piece of jewelry is designed for perfection with the intention of delivering quality jewelry that will make a statement.
The base metal of all STATED products is Sterling Silver (925 Silver) and plated in 18K Rose Gold, Yellow Gold & White Gold. We add an extra layer of e-coating for tarnish resistance to avoid discoloration or rusting over time and to ensure the highest quality.
All stones are hand-set and therefore should be cared for accordingly.
What is Gold Plating? Gold Plating is the process through which a layer of gold is deposited onto a conductive surface (the base material of the jewelry, which for us, is Sterling Silver).
Some companies use Copper as a base metal, but we go with 925 Sterling Silver for stronger quality. Sterling Silver is over 92.5% pure Silver, mixed with alloys to add strength and durability. It’s a precious metal that has been used for thousands of years. It’s more affordable than fine jewelry but still maintains the look and feel of fine jewelry, which is why we use this metal in all of our products.
What is Cubic Zirconia? A Cubic Zirconia stone is the cubic crystalline form of zirconium dioxide. While it is a synthetic stone, it is just as bright and clear as a diamond. Like diamonds, the quality of Cubic Zirconia varies widely. Quality can be based on weight (carats), clarity, color, and cut, but the quality of Cubic Zirconia can also be measured by the “A” system.
The highest quality of stones are hard and clear, whereas the lowest quality stones are cloudy and soft.
STATED uses the AAAA CZ, which is the highest quality CZ and is totally clear of imperfections!
TIPS FOR JEWELRY CARE
- Preserve Silver product plating properties by avoiding contact with beauty/skincare products, perfumes/sprays, cleaning agents, water and chemicals. Be sure to remove jewelry when performing manual tasks, such as when cleaning, doing laundry, exercising, gardening, bathing, and swimming. We recommend applying beauty/skincare products, such as lotions, perfumes & sprays before putting any jewelry on.
- To protect them from the elements, frequently clean your jewelry with a clean, soft, dry tissue or your STATED polishing cloth (included with your purchase). This untreated microfiber cloth will safely allow you to polish and clean jewelry and gemstones without risking damaging them with any residue or chemicals. Your jewelry will glisten after using this polishing cloth - great for keeping your jewelry clean between professional cleanings.
- Due to their careful crafting, be gentle with your jewelry as they are delicate by nature. Avoid dropping and unnecessary pressure.
- Wear different pieces daily to give them a rest from wear and tear.
- Jewelry storage is important. Between wearing your pieces, we recommend you place them neatly in a suitable lined box, such as the STATED box you will receive with your purchase.
- Avoid leaving your jewelry in a room with extensive humidity.
